1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the StudyMap mobile application, website, support resources, and related services (together, the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
The app is also licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement the Apple Standard EULA. If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms, the Apple terms control to the extent of the conflict.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What StudyMap provides
StudyMap is an educational planning tool. Based on information you provide, it may create a weekly study schedule and exam-day roadmap, organize exam subjects and topics, schedule learn, practice, review, timed, or mock-test sessions, reschedule unfinished work, run focus timers, send requested reminders, and present progress or practice-score records.
StudyMap structures preparation; it does not replace instruction. The Service does not provide official exam questions and should be used with your own books, notes, courses, question banks, and practice tests.
Features may differ by exam, device, operating system, subscription status, country, and App Store availability. Currently supported exams may change as the product evolves.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use StudyMap. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
You may begin with a guest account or choose Sign in with Apple where available. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Apple account and for activity performed through your StudyMap account. Information you provide must be accurate enough for the Service to function safely and lawfully.
You may sign out or permanently delete your StudyMap account from Profile → Account. Account deletion is irreversible and removes associated study data from systems we control, subject to limited legal, security, transaction-integrity, and backup retention described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Premium subscriptions
Some features require StudyMap Premium. The app may offer monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions. The exact product, billing period, localized price, included access, and any eligible introductory offer are displayed in the purchase screen before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your Apple account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel from iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions or at Apple Subscriptions.
- Deleting the app, signing out, or deleting your StudyMap account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
- Where supported, Restore Purchases can reconnect an eligible purchase made with the same Apple ID.
Refunds
Apple processes App Store payments and decides refund requests under its policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. StudyMap cannot issue an App Store refund directly.
Price or feature changes
Subscription prices and Premium features may change. Apple will provide any notice or consent flow required for subscription price changes. Changes do not affect rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
5. Acceptable use
StudyMap grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for lawful, non-commercial educational planning, subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA.
You may not:
- Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or in violation of exam, school, or academic-integrity rules.
- Attempt to access another user’s account or data, bypass security or subscription controls, or disrupt the Service.
- Reverse engineer, copy, scrape, resell, sublicense, or exploit the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Upload or transmit malware, harmful code, unlawful content, or material that violates another person’s rights.
- Use automated systems in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on the Service.
6. Intellectual property and exam names
StudyMap’s software, interface, branding, original text, graphics, planning structures, and other product materials are owned by StudyMap or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
StudyMap is an independent study-planning tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by College Board, ACT, ETS, AAMC, or the organizations that own the exams referenced in the app. SAT, ACT, AP, GRE, MCAT, and other exam names or marks belong to their respective owners.
7. Educational disclaimer and service availability
Plans, recommended hours, schedules, topic priorities, progress views, and other outputs depend on the information you provide, available exam data, current product logic, and your subsequent activity. They are informational planning aids—not professional educational advice, admissions advice, or a prediction.
StudyMap does not guarantee any score increase, exam result, admission decision, certification, scholarship, or academic outcome. You remain responsible for confirming official exam dates, registration deadlines, test requirements, permitted materials, and policies with the relevant exam organization.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted access, perfect synchronization, error-free reminders, or permanent availability of any feature.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyMap and its operators, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, access, opportunity, profits, or exam-related outcomes arising from or related to the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
9. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update, add, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service to maintain security, comply with law or platform rules, address technical issues, or evolve the product. We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are materially violated, the Service is abused, or action is legally required.
We may update these Terms. The revised version will be published here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the app or through another appropriate channel. Continuing to use the Service after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, except where the law requires another form of consent.
